Note: Trip cost includes housing, food, and missions trip activities. Participants will have the option to raise additional funds to cover their travel to Edmonton.

PRAXIS Edmonton is an opportunity to practise living an integrated life. There will be spiritual development, meaningful missional engagement, and growth in community.  We’re facilitating a space for you to develop in the context of living missionally.

What to Expect

Spiritual practices

Come develop healthy spiritual rhythms to enrich your faith. We will dive deeper into knowing God. We will establish structures and rhythms that help you depend on him. 

For example, we’ll explore the wisdom of taking rest and downtime through the practice of a weekly Sabbath. A past participant notes how she discovered that “a daily, weekly, monthly Sabbath is a pathway of healing from hurry-sickness.”

Community

We want to foster an environment of trust and community. Come willing to pray, share meals, study the Bible, and be on mission together. We will practise a communal “rule of life” that will develop consistency and depth in our shared spiritual life. 

As we do life together, past participants have said, “For the first time, Christianity isn’t just something I believe, but it is something that I am experiencing!” 

Missional opportunities

Each week we’ll engage missionally by partnering with local cross-cultural agencies, to serve vulnerable populations in Edmonton’s urban setting. With a mentor, you’ll reflect on these experiences to notice how you integrate being and doing.
